Elegant bathroom amenities enhanced my stay.
The lack of air conditioning was unbearable. The lobby was stifling hot.

Perfect for the discerning traveler
The breakfast views on the rooftop were fine, sipping my coffee as the sun rose over the rooftops. The staff really were very good, especially with that manager who helped sort out our last-minute travel troubles.
It wasn't cheap, though I gotta say it was worth it.

The owner and her staff were excellent - nothing was too much trouble. The recommendations for dining were spot on and the location in the middle of Dubrovik old town was excellent - central and quiet.

The Location is ideal for a short city break. The owner and staff are extreamly friendly and helpful. The hotel has a wonderful roof terrace with a beautiful view of the city. Only drawback is the lack of a lift, but understandable for a 16th. C building.

The staff was helpful in arranging day trips to nearby islands. The hotel's location is perfect.
In my wife's opinion, it would be great to have more family-friendly meal options at the restaurant.

The hotel was in a wonderful position inside the walls of the old town. It had a lovely roof terrace from which you could see all over the old town. It was close to all the restaurants in the old town and also the shopping. It had lots of character and was very comfortable. Not suitable for families with young children or people who have trouble walking as there is no elevator. We loved it there and would definately stay there again. The staff were very friendly and would do anything for you.

A/C supposedly worked but no coolness in room...very unconfortable warm sleeping. Had to carry luggage up 4 floors...no elevator

Excellent location in the centre of the Old Town yet totally quiet and peaceful off-the-beaten-track feel with only 8 rooms. Small rooftop terrace with extensive city views in all directions - great for bring-your-own sundowners. Most usual room facilities available - bar, hairdryer, tv etc. Comfortable beds though our singles seemed a bit smaller than usual. Friendly, helpful and accommodating staff and reception was always staffed.
Small darkish rooms no views. Facilities unreliable - wifi connection, though free, did not work for us on higher floor, towels forgotten 1 day and sink basin plug was broken. Breakfasts no longer served on roof terrace but contracted to neighbouring cafe in alley (v.good with both cold/cooked options though a little slow - but we were in no hurry). Can't fault the cleanliness and friendly staff but very high prices for what you get other than the location within the old town (Dubrovnik is generally very overpriced just because of demand). Feels more like a small, clean and friendly serviced apartment rather than a hotel

The location is unbeatable-just steps away from all the old town action. Rooftop dining with stellar views was such a treat! Room was spacious and clean. I had a great experience using the spa services nearby. The Thai massage was great.

The location is excellent, right in the Old Town so perfect for a short stay. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful and speak good english. The fact that there are only 8 rooms provides for a more personal touch. Breakfast, provided by the restaurant next door and can be taken al fresco in the street, is very good, comprising a wide choice including eggs, bacon, sausage etc. There is also a terrace which provides stunning views across the old town.
We did have problem with the air con in one of the rooms. It did not work. The hotel had already provided a stand alone humidifier unit but even with this running (noisy) the nights were dreadfully hot and unbearable. An open window just meant noise of a different kind. The problem was something to do with an electrical fault that only affected the lower part of the hotel. The staff at the hotel were very apologetic and kept the humidifier topped up with ice but despite their best efforts the problem lasted throughout the three nights we had there (our other room was fabulously cool - temperature wise).

would definitely return here
Great location in the heart of Old Town. My Standard Double Room was intimate, clean, and had a cozy atmosphere. The breakfast featured fresh croissants, local fruits, and was served with fine views of the city from the rooftop. Especially Rodrigo. The rooftop restaurant Above 5 offered delicious meals and amazing vistas.
